Stivan Hokin ( ස්ටීවන් හෝකින් )

He is a world-renowned, top physicist; A theoretical physicist. (Theoretical physicist); A cosmologist. Above all, it is important to note that he will have to spend the rest of his life as a disabled person. That is, he suffers from Motor Neuron Disease or ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Stephen Hawking is a man you know very well. None of these ailments should truly appreciate his courage to face life without interruption. Hawking is the director of the Center for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge, and it is Hawking's courage that has made him one of the world's leading authors.

Steven William Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, in Oxford, England. His father, Frank Hawking, and mother, Isabel Hawking, were both graduates of Oxford University, as well as socially recognized scholars. In addition to Hawking, the couple had two daughters, Philip and Mary, and an adopted son, Edward. Hawking began his education at Byron School in Highgate, London. He then attended several schools, and in 1959, at the age of seventeen, entered the University of Oxford for higher education.

In his early years at the University of Oxford, Hawking became known as a loner, and later as a student of classical physics and science fiction. That subject, as well as theoretical physics, was a subject of interest to him. The last year of his studies at Oxford University was a decisive year in Hawking's life. During this time he often fainted. That was the first diagnosis of his motor neurone disorder. Even so, Hawking's first-class honors degree in natural science in 1962 was a testament to his excellence.

In mid-1960, however, he earned his doctorate. As a scholar with an expert knowledge of general relativity and cosmology in the fields of applied mathematics and theoretical physics. Hawking's research work 'Singularities and the Geometry of Space - Time' won the Adams Prize that year. Hawking's mental strength and unparalleled cognition are commendable, as he was suffering from a very serious illness and was able to complete such a great study with great success.

He also served as an external professor at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1970. In 1977, at the age of 35, he was named Leading Professor of Gravitational Physics at the University of Oxford. It was a very high position for his talent compared to his age. Hawking has won numerous world-renowned titles, prizes, medals and awards. Among them was the Adams Award (1966), FRS. (1974), Eddington Medal (1975), Maxwell Medal and Prize (1976). Heinmann Prize (1976), Hughes Medal (1976), Albert Einstein Award (1978). Dirac Medal (1987), Wolf Award (1988). He has won numerous prizes, medals and awards, including the Presidential Award for Freedom (2009).

In 1970, Hawking said, "If the universe behaves according to general relativity, it must agree with all theories of the physical universe put forward by Alexander Freeman." In the same year he published 'The Second Law of Black Hole Dynamics' as well as the Four Noble Theories of Black Hole Mechanics. His research papers have been filed in these fields, and to date, more than 200 of Hawking's leading research papers have been published in top research journals, demonstrating his high recognition as a researcher.

In 1971, he co-authored with George Ellis his first book, The Large Structure of Time and Space. It was published in 1973. This was followed by a brief introduction to time in 1988, Black Holes, Baby Universe and Other Papers in 1993, and Time and Space with Roger Peros in 1996.
